Nearly everything is loaded into the Murano for tomorrow’s departure. The last few things will be loaded in the morning and we plan to leave early (6-ish). Maybe we’ll awake earlier!
Coffee, cereal and depart! It is almost like waiting for Christmas.
Oil change, new wipers and spare tire inflated to 60+ psi (a good thing to check for the fist time in 10 years as it only had 15!).
Most of the equipment for camping and photography already loaded too. Got to gather the food and clothing by tomorrow and then we should be ready for an early Sunday morning departure.
Rout 66 we’re soon headed your way!
But first we have overnight company arriving Friday night. And Gary has to go to Fort Delaware on Saturday to support the Delaware Photographic Society’s volunteer photography advisor program.
Can’t wait to get on the road!

Yep, anticipation is building for the start of the historic Route 66 road trip. We’ve started to gather a few things, but there’s still a lot to put together for this trip!
Yikes, 4 or 5 weeks is a long time to be gone. Have to work on getting the lawn mowed while we’re away.
There are no definite plans for hotel/motel/campsites along the way. So, we’ll be deciding on short notice where to stay. This is always an interesting way to travel.
