It has been a while since we posted. You might think that we have stayed home, but you would be wrong to think such a thing! We finished up our travels with Leah to Arizona and returned her home in Lexington, SC. We stayed a few days there to enjoy Easter before returning home in Ms. Merlot. Once home, we took care of some projects around the house. Gary had 6 performances of Gilbert & Sullivan Princess Ida.
We had applied for Global Reentry from TSA in March, but could not get an interview at any local airport. So, we made a reservation at the Pittsburgh PA International Airport for our interview.—scheduled for April 20 (the soonest and closest we could find). Making a three day trip of it, we enjoyed seeing the sights and finding some geocaches on the way and in Pittsburgh. We changed our plans for the return and decided to visit the famous Frank Lloyd Wright architectural wonder Fallingwater in the mountains of Pennsylvania! Taking the road(s) less traveled we arrived mid-morning when the light on the house was perfect. Took some photos and had a nice conversation with a young woman who works at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore park.
Some of the geocaches we found during this trip were for an annual event called Cache Across Maryland. We needed 10, but between this trip and our previous ones we only had 8. What to do…..?
Take another trip, of course. This time to Annapolis and Baltimore Maryland. Found 3 more cached including 2 of the ones that were required to be included in the 10. We visited a lighthouse, Edgar Allen Poe’s house and grave and the well known railroad museum in Baltimore.
Back home it was surgery for Gary’s torn rotator cuff and more geocaching for handicapped individuals—drive up, short walks and easy finds!
The reason for this post by mail test is for future travels. We may be in areas with limited access to wifi and internet. So, this post by mail could be a good way to keep updating everyone on our goings on!

U2 know how to make the best of anything. I know that Gary will be back up in the pink in no time at least we hope so. See you guys soon.
Even more travels!!! you two certainly get around. We are home now from our trip to Arran – return leg included a two night stayover in Ayr. This enabled us to visit Culzean Castle, as well as the birthplace of the legendary Robbie Burns.
