Geocaching

Joyce received a handheld Garmin GPS for Christmas in December 2004.  This to replace pedometers which she had been using and broken several to keep track of her walking exercise.  Included with the GPS was the information about geocaching from the website www.geocaching.com.  This generated quite a lot of interest besides tracking exercise.  Once we started, we just couldn’t stop!  As of August 2022 we have over9400 caches all over the US, Canada and Europe.  We have also added Bermuda and the United Kingdom (England, Wales and Scotland).  Unfortunately the UK only counts as one country in our statistics!

We will add France during our planned travels in the summer 2019.  Hopefully, we will also be able to add Switzerland and Spain as we will travel near their borders.

You, too, should try geocaching.  It takes you places you would never have imagined, provides you opportunities to see things that were intriguing enough for someone to put a cache in that location and lets you solve puzzles, seek treasure and find happiness in the hunt!
